IOS update 17.4.1 stuck on new iPhone 15. No status bar. Says "update requested". Tried deleting update and requesting it again. No change. Phone is 100% charged and is also connected to WIFI. Picked up this new phone this at 10 a.m. this morning. It's 2 p.m. and the update still says 'update requested' but doesn't show any update status.
Same problem, Apple. Brand new iPhone 15 bought today won't upgrade to iOS 17.4.1. Stuck on "Preparing Update..." for up to 6 hours so far and counting. Even after a hard reboot (vol up, down, hold power) it still won't advance through the process. Yes it's fully charged and plugged in and on WIFI. Help please!
after that the phone let me set up as blank device with the bare bones apps and settings. I went in and updated to the 17.4.1. That took about 10 min. After verifying the software update was up to date, I went to settings, general, transfer or reset iPhone, and erased all settings.
kinda in the same boat, just bought a new 15 today, while installing the update during the setup process before it starts the icloud backup im stuck on about 1 second remaining for like 3 hours at this point, bar hasnt moved stuck like halfway
I purchased my new iPhone 15 Max Pro and ran into the same issue trying to transfer data from my old phone. it would not move past trying to install 17.4.1. I connected the iPhone 15 to my mac and launched MUSIC selected devices / iPhone 15 / sync to get to status screen to check for updates. Was FINALLY able to update phone to 17.4.1 manually through my imac. very frustrating end to a day i was excited to purchase my new iphone.

I'd like to post this so the issue becomes known to the Apple team and developers. I believe this information is very valuable for the company and would improve the lives of multiple customers around the globe and people wouldn't have to experiment with unknown 3rd party tools and possibly compromise their data. I've talked about this to a Senior Advisor and I was recommended to leave a post and feedback about this issue. In this post I'll be talking about Data Recovery possibility for a lot of people who encounter "Error 1110" in iTunes.
I'd like to point out that I've ran into loads of devices with Error 1110 including my own. This has been happening way more ever since iOS 10 release. In the last 4 years I've tried many repair shops and asked around for solutions to no avail. So I ended up digging deeper into this and found hundreds of posts around the web with people running into this issue. Reached out to numerous repair shops to see how often this occurs and it looks like it's a constant issue. So I took the time to investigate and come up with some solutions.
I personally like the first option as it would allow users to repair their devices from home. The second solution could be a temporary fix. However, second option doesn't necessarily guarantee data retrieval or a fix to the problem.
Please let me know of what you guys think and if you have any suggestions.Feel free to reach out to me with questions as I've experimented with a load of such devices. Couple devices I've managed to fix for others but sadly haven't been able to fix mine as the storage situation is more severe on mine. There are people who lost years worth of information and so did I.
Yes, I also encountered such problems. Recently, my iPhone 14 Pro Max had an error when upgrading to ios17.0, and then there was the 1110 error that could not show my hair. I tried to update the system in the recovery mode, but it didn't work. As of today, I still can't repair my mobile phone, which is very sad. My mobile phone contains a lot of valuable data, but there is no solution at present, I hope the apple development team can see this information so that the problem can be fixed later. Thank you.
As a user who has used iPhone for more than 10 years, from iPhone4 to iphone14, I have no idea how many apple devices I have purchased. I like to use Apple devices. I appeal to friends who have encountered error 1110. When you see this message, you must leave a message here to promote the Apple software team to repair the problem.
Hello everyone, has anyone seen this message? My iPhone still cannot be repaired. This is the 11th day I am unable to use my phone. I hope the Apple software development team can see this reply and kindly request that you fix the issue with 1110.
Basically Stockholm (that's your Apple Pay/NFC chip with the Secure Element) took a firmware update and iOS needs to do encryption stuff to the entire storage contents, but first it needs to decrypt what's already there by getting the correct passcode from you. Each attempt is a 15+ minute operation even if the passcode is wrong.
If you know FOR SURE that the passcode you entered is 100% correct, then perhaps Stockholm took a bad update or there is something seriously corrupt in userland. If it can't decrypt for this operation, then it can't decrypt to access your stuff, and a full restore is your only option.
Me too. I already reduced my phone's storage by removing all my videos and photos. I have 76 GB free and still 1110 is hunting my phone. I went to Apple store already but they can't do anything about it. The option I got is to factory reset it as I CAN'T also back up my phone though iCloud and iTunes for unknown reasons! All I need now is to back my phone up so I can transfer everything to a new phone, if I get a new one. HELLLLPP!

I have same problem error 1110 insuffecent memory , i sent my iphone to three recovery data company included drive savers , no one could help me. so i guess the only way i have to wait till apple produse the following: iOS 16.0.2 & iOS 16.0.2 (Light)IOS right ???
Same issue with iPad Pro. Bought it new about three years ago. Always used at home and lives essentially at my desk (I use it as an illustration/drawing tablet) and I've always been very, very careful with it. No drops, no bumps, nothing. One day it was perfect and running, next day stuck on Apple logo loop. Tried contacting Apple support because my Macbook wasn't even recognising the iPad. They managed to help with that after a lot of tweaking, but then after it connected, when trying to update via Macbook, I got this error message indeed, which obviously no one wants to see.
I have cloud backups from most things but have not done backups for Procreate and a couple of other apps in three months. I'll be losing so much work and data.. from personal to professional data (it's really stupid as well, that in this day and age, despite one paying a lot of money for iCloud or other cloud services some apps still don't/can't use it for backups - its beyond idiotic).
And now, after searching online it seems this has been happening for a very long time and Apple just doesn't care? Even given that there are viable solutions? This is crazy!!
I am Lee here, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max which has the same problem. My device starts bootlooping when it's in a very low storage state. I tried to boot my device into recovery mode and update it to the latest iOS (iOS 17.4.1). But the updates failed many times and showed the same error codes, please refer to the screenshot attached. Please help with this matter, I appreciate if you could provide me the "iOS light version" you mentioned in your post.Looking forward to your reply, thanks!
