1. What in this part of Chapter 19 stands out in your mind as the
most valuable teaching?

Many cultures have a religious element. Some are sacred some secular
but all have there own set of myths, powers and deities. Surrounding
this a whole social and economic structure develops. Paul’s witness to
the Ephesians shows one of their power centers, the Artemis cult, for
what it is, nothing. Not only did Paul challenge the religious beliefs
but he also threaten the economic value of those beliefs. We see that
even today, when a cultures belief system is threatened, either
religious or secular, they will fight to preserve it.
