Hey Linda I am really sorry about this. We went ahead and did the videoconference anyway but we missed you. We should probably touch base. Send me your phone # and the best times to call, or call my cell: 208 4925.
Thanks,
-john

FYI…here is some detailed information on why Wellington was not able to connect for the Strings! Kansas event this afternoon. I tested with them Friday afternoon, so I am not sure when it went out or it was decided it needed to be fixed.
No problem…I’ve had to talk to several people today about what exactly happened. From what the Wellington technician explained for me: The Kan-Ed router to Wellington schools is in the Highschool, from the Highschool it goes out to all of the Elementaries. Their main switch (you may be more familiar with that term than me) that leaves the Highschool had to be repaired and they had to take everything down at the Elementaries to repair it. And he wasn’t for sure how many days it would take to repair. He thought definitely by the beginning of next week. They had regular internet up by today, but they were still working on the configuration for the Kan-Ed lines. Does that make sense? I don’t understand all the lines and switches, but somehow he made it make sense. I know Linda Ballard was confused here because the internet was back up, but she didn’t understand that Kan-Ed ran over Internet 2 and that that was separate. I did not get the details as to what initially happened why they had to repair it, but I could give him a call tomorrow if you need anymore information. That’s about as technical as I get! Let me know if you need anything else.
