Hello fellow Stone Bridge Drivers,
We are just a week away. I know that some of you only had an opportunity to sign up for the google group updates recently so I want to reiterate some of what was sent out earlier.
If this is not your first time at this particular rodeo, now is your chance to hit the delete button and not have to endure some of the same old stuff you are used to. I will just remind you to KUWTCAOY, but you need no reminders.
For the rest of you, by now you all should have some sort of confirmation that tells you where to go, and when to be there.
The Grand Prix Festival is a rain or shine event. Bring a raincoat so that it doesn’t rain. But if it does rain, the event goes on as usual.
Laps of the Old Course:
If you are in one of our Stone Bridge Driver Events, you will get 2 laps assuming everything goes as planned. If you are in the WGI Race Car Tribute Laps you will get 2 or 3 laps depending on how well you behave.
If you are counting your laps, here is how that works. Your first lap starts the first time you cross the S/F Line regardless of where you entered the course. You second lap starts the second time you cross the S/F Line no matter where you exit the course. It’s that simple.
It is the same rules for SBD Laps as it is for the Race Car Laps. The only difference is that during the SBD Laps you are on an open highway with oncoming traffic at times, so act accordingly.
Anyone caught not following these rules will be removed from the laps.
No passing.
No slowing down to get a run in a particular area.
No stopping to put up or down a top, regardless of the weather.
No stopping for a driver change or for any passengers to enter or exit.
Anyone in the car must be belted and in a legitimate seat.
Absolutely no cell phone use by the driver.
No slowing down for a photo opp.
And the most important rule:
Keep Up With The Car Ahead Of You
If you have a question just for me ca...@senecasaw.com or 607 351-3936 It will be best not to bother me on Friday 9/5 because I might just be a little busy.
See you all real soon,
Casey
