Hello fellow Stone Bridge Drivers,

Another great Grand Prix Festival is in the books and if you noticed, the weather was great as usual.

I hope most of you had a great time. I say most because I know the Glenora Runners had a bit of an issue when it was time for them to get their display parking on north Franklin Street. There were a series of missed communications with the traffic volunteers and others which resulted in that area not quite being ready for them at the time they were supposed to park. We ended up having to detour them into the already overcrowded detour to get them back around and into the right place to be able to park. I am sure that getting into a crazy traffic jam was not what they had in mind and especially not welcome for some of the cars with more sensitive cooling systems.

The Grand Prix Festival is an extremely complicated event with an overly complicated schedule. And every year will have one mishap or another. In 2024, one group only got one lap while another group managed to get 3 laps. What goes around the Old Course comes around the Old Course.

Keeping things simple is a worthy goal, but in the case of the Grand Prix Festival, the way to simplify things would be to have a lot less cars which would mean a lot less festival. That is not what we are planning. So we will keep working with what we have, and try to make as few mistakes as possible. “Show me something that is perfect, and I will show you something you didn’t measure close enough”.

When it came time for the WGI Tribute Laps, we did manage to put a record 175 cars on the Old course for a full 3 laps without any problems.

I will hand it to the Tour de Marque Porsches for doing a really good job at keeping up with each other, given that many of them were first timers. But I guess they got the message.

For those of you who bothered to look in your driver packets, you should have found our Early Bird registration form for the 2026 Grand Prix Festival. That will give you first dibs on the SBD event of your choice for a limited time, so get your registrations in soon or risk not getting into the event you want.

Our photography crew was hard at work this year and there will be plenty of pictures to look at or even purchase at

https://allstylesproduction.pixieset.com/2025grandprixfestival/

I don’t think all of the pictures are up on that site yet, but some are and the rest will be soon.

Thanks so much for being such a huge part of what makes the Grand Prix Festival so special.

And thanks for KUWTCAOY,

Casey

Thank you is not enough to express my appreciation of all the hard work you invest into orchestrating such a fantastic event.
