The entry list for the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway is posted, 45 teams/drivers [for 41 spots] are listed.
The 36 chartered teams are entered, as well as nine open teams that must race their way into the field.
The open teams are: #36-Chandler Smith, #40-Justin Allgaier, #44-J.J. Yeley, #62-Anthony Alfredo, #66-Casey Mears, #67-Corey Heim, #78-B.J. McLeod, #84-Jimmie Johnson, #99-Corey LaJoie.
Since 45 cars are entered, four drivers will miss the race. Johnson will make the field through an open exemption provisional which will expand the field to 41.
