#11-Denny Hamlin won the FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway. The win is his third win of the year, fourth at Michigan and 63rd career win. His 63 wins ties Kyle Busch for ninth most all time.
#43-Erik Jones finished 2nd followed by #23-Bubba Wallace, #5-Kyle Larson, #77-Carson Hocevar, #7-Daniel Suarez, #22-Joey Logano, #12-Ryan Blaney, #17-Chris Buescher, and #19-Chase Briscoe.
Hamlin won the pole Saturday but had to start the race in the rear after unapproved adjustment. He worked himself back into the top 10 before getting some damage in an accident on lap 83. He suffered only minor damage and continued to work his way through the field. He took the lead with 38 laps remaining and pulled away to win by more than 11 seconds.
There was a 20 minute red flag for track cleanup and SAFER barrier repair on lap 150 following a hard crash between #9-Chase Elliott and #20-Christopher Bell.
Stage 1 was won by #45-Tyler Reddick. Stage 2 was won by #9-Chase Elliott.
The fastest lap bonus a earned by #77-Carson Hocevar.
There were 23 lead changes among 11 drivers and a track record 11 cautions for 54 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 123.935mph.

Cup Series: With the pace he’s shown of late, Denny Hamlin could be due for many more wins in 2026. But the one he earned Sunday is sure to be a standout among the group for special reasons.
 
In doing so, Hamlin tied the late Kyle Busch for ninth on the Cup Series’ all-time wins list with 63 triumphs. He honored Busch afterward by flying a special flag featuring stylings of both the Nos. 8 and 18 he drove for Richard Childress Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing, respectively.
Hamlin’s win gave JGR a happy sign-off to a challenging day for the organization. Two of its other drivers crashed out of contention, with Christopher Bell getting the worst of a vicious incident after Chase Elliott lost control of his No. 9 Chevrolet and drifted up into Bell in Turn 3.
Craftsman Truck Series: He may not be a full-time Truck Series competitor this year, but future Cup Series rookie Corey Heim remains the tour’s most dominant driver.
Heim passed Carson Hocevar and beat Tricon Garage teammate Kaden Honeycutt in the closing laps to claim Saturday’s DQS Solutions & Staffing 250. The result was his 26th-career win and third victory in five starts this season. ARCA Menards Series: A strong drive from Gio Ruggiero and an assist from Mother Nature was all Joe Gibbs Racing needed to dethrone Pinnacle Racing Group in Michigan.

Formula 1
F1: What was largely a routine drive for championship frontrunner Kimi Antonelli was anything but for the rest of the field in the Monaco Grand Prix.
The race started in uncontroversial fashion. Save for a shock retirement from second-place qualifier Max Verstappen when something broke on the start, there were few moments of note in the opening laps.
The status quo maintained for the race’s opening lap. But as race entered its second half, things began to get interesting. A litany of speeding penalties emerged, challenging various drivers to manage five-second gaps to their rivals. Then, just as those issues seemed sorted, Lance Stroll crashed at the Circuit de Monaco’s final corner, bringing out a safety car.
That led to pit road drama, as second-place Lewis Hamilton served his penalty at the detriment of Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc while a lap-down George Russell tried to serve his in sneaky fashion behind Antonelli.
Eventually the field was sorted out and the green flag flew, but another caution arose as hometown favorite Leclerc suffered an identical crash to Stroll. That led race officials to red flag the event, leading to the discovery of broken tarmac at the site of the incidents.
The race eventually resumed, with Antonelli leading Hamilton home while Isack Hadjar took advantage of the many penalties and attrition to salvage the last podium place.
Behind them was chaos. Russell’s cheeky penalty-serving attempt was deemed insufficient and he was forced to serve a pass-through penalty. He held the field up on the final restart, but still finished outside of the points, allowing Hamilton to rise to second in the standings while Antonelli furthered his sizable advantage up front.

Ned Jarrett didn’t race for a long time in the NASCAR Cup Series, but he made his peak years count. The driver known as Gentleman Ned tallied 50 Cup wins from 1959 through 1965 after making a handful of starts beforehand. Along the way, Jarrett earned two Cup titles and established himself as one of the stars of the sport’s early days.
His 50 wins can win 352 starts, giving Jarrett a 14.2% win rate. For comparison, Denny Hamlin’s 63rd win on Sunday came in his 736th start, good for an 8.56% win rate.

 Monte-Carlo, Monaco — It's early in the season, but Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli appears to be running away with the F1 title, winning Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix for his fifth consecutive victory. With 156 points, the young Italian's lead over second-place Lewis Hamilton (90) is larger than Hamilton's lead over 10th place Pierre Gasly (26).
