 #22-Joey Logano won the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. The win is his second win of the year, third at Richmond and 39th career win.
#19-Chase Briscoe finished 2nd followed by #2-Austin Cindric, #11-Denny Hamlin, #9-Chase Elliott, #5-Kyle Larson, #20-Christopher Bell, #21-Josh Berry, #24-William Byron, and #48-Alex Bowman.
Pole sitter #12-Ryan Blaney finished 13th.
Logano and Briscoe had the dominant cars on the night. Logano passed Briscoe for the lead just before the final pit stops of the night and help the lead for the remainder of the race.
Stage 1 was won by #12-Ryan Blaney. Stage 2 was won by #22-Joey Logano.
The fastest lap bonus a earned by #12-Ryan Blaney.
There were 29 lead changes among 10 drivers and 4 cautions for 31 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 98.343mph.

Kyle Larson entered Saturday night knowing he’d need some help from Mother Nature to take advantage of his pole qualifying effort at Knoxville Raceway. And unlike in his Indy 500 efforts, the Californian caught the right break.
From there, the race was on.

Joey Logano’s on a heater. The three-time Cup Series champion has earned 264 (40.06%) of his 659 total points in the season to date over the past five races, rising from 18th to ninth in the points and all-but locking himself up for a playoff berth. He’s averaged 52.8 points per race during the stretch, well clear of the 20.79 he was managing beforehand.
For comparison, dominant regular season champ Denny Hamlin’s averaged 40.38 points per race through the year to date. Logano could be a real title contender in the Chase if he can keep up this pace.
