Arabic translation

I am looking into translating the Arabic strings on crowdin. A very basic point is to agree on translating "STEP". I noticed that sometimes it is translated as step "خطوة" which is incorrect, since it is an acronym. My preference is to keep it as STEP while appending the meaning between parentheses: (أدوات دراسة الكتاب للجميع) or (سْتِبّ - أدوات دراسة الكتاب للجميع).

Can anyone comment please?

This sounds like a good plan. I guess that any Arab speaker using this would also know the Latin alphabet. 
In the UK we are used to referring to "CERN - the  European Organization for Nuclear Research" when actually it stands for  Conseil européen pour la recherche nucléaire.
