Thirsty magazine is honored and proud to announce its sponsorship of
the 2007 Joey Ramone Birthday Bash! Held Saturday, May 19, at the
Fillmore at Irving Plaza, on what would have been Joey Ramone's 56th
birthday, this year's sold-out event features performances by the
legendary New York Dolls, Slinky Vagabond featuring Glen Matlock (Sex
Pistols) and Clem Burke (Blondie), and New York's best punk band, The
Bullys. This is the first year of Thirsty's partnership with the
Birthday Bash, and we hope it is the beginning of a long and
productive relationship.

To kick-start all the Birthday Bash coverage, Thirsty is offering an
exclusive interview with Mickey Leigh (The Rattlers, Stop, Birdland),
Joey's brother and event organizer. Mickey is himself a legend on the
New York rock scene and we are thrilled to feature him in Thirsty.
Conducted inside Joey Ramone's East Village apartment, the interview
touches on Mickey and Joey's childhood, The Ramones, road stories, and
"I Slept With Joey Ramone," the biography he is writing with Legs
McNeil.

Please visit staythirsty.com for this exclusive interview and our
continued coverage of the 2007 Joey Ramone Birthday Bash. What an
honor to pay tribute to one of our heroes and make such great new
friends such as Mickey Leigh. It's truly a great issue of Thirsty!
