Dear Parishioners,

It is with great sorrow that we write to inform you of the falling asleep of Christos Katrakazis.

A viewing will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026  from 9:30AM to 12:30PM, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:30PM  all at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 West union Boulevard Bethlehem, PA  18018.  Burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Allentown.  

May his memory be eternal.

Obituary:
Christos Katrakazis, 73 from  New York  and Bethlehem passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg on March 17, 2026.   He was the beloved husband of Despina (Mennis) Katrakazis,  they would have been married 52 years on June 9th.

Christos was born in Chios, Greece on June 2, 1952, son of the late Antonios and Despina (Zannikos) Katrakazis.

He owned the Sutton Plaza Coffee Shop in New York retiring after many years.

Christos was a  devoted member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem.

Christos is  survived by his  beloved wife Despina, loving sons Antonios Katrakazis husband of Lori and Isidoros Katrakazis husband of Marina, five cherished  grandchildren Damian, Anastasia, Christos , Antonios and Angelo,  brother Stamatios Katrakazis husband of Anna, sister Betty Gioulis wife of Nikos, ; sister in laws Angela Moutafis,  brother in law John Gialouris husband of Keve and  sister in law Afrodite Gregos wife of Kostis. Also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins here in the United States and also in Greece.
Predeceased by a nephew Antonios Katrakazis.

A viewing will be held on Saturday March 21, 2026  from 9:30AM to 12:30PM, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:30PM  all at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 West union Boulevard Bethlehem, PA  18018.  Burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Allentown.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of John F.
