Script Mechanics is doing its monthly script reading this Saturday, and, as always, we need actors and actresses to read parts. This is a cold read, which is good audition practice for the actors and actresses, and which provides the writers with the type of responses someone who reads the script for the first time would have.  We need actors who can read teen parts, as well as adults for this script.

Please join us
Saturday, March 13
at the Buder Library
As Usual 1:00 - 5:45
4401 Hampton

If you are an actor or actress and would like to read, there is no need to send resumes or head shots, just come and join us for a fun read and good discussion and conversation.

This month we have a surprise script to read.  If time allows, we will read scenes by other writers, and any one is welcome to bring a few scenes to read.  There will be opportunities for people to read a variety of roles.  Roles are assigned at the reading/workshop.

We are migrating the email list to a yahoo group, so that my email notices do not appear as spam, so please visit this website and Subscribe: ScriptMechanicsS...@yahoogroups.com.
We are also on Facebook now.  Become a fan!

Script Mechanics aims to assist screenwriters in polishing their scripts by having actors read the scripts aloud.  The writer hears their dialogue and get fresh insights into their characters from the actors’ take on the script.  The actors and other writers in the organization offer suggestions and comments at the end of the reading.
Script Mechanics meets the second Saturday of the month at the Buder
Library.  The library is just south of the Chippewa and Hampton
intersection; the address is 4401 Hampton Ave, 63109.  It's the brick
building with turquoise and glass trim.  We will be in the small meeting
room downstairs from 1:00 - 5:45; however, the reading may not take quite
that long.  Parking is available behind and south of the building and in
the lot in front of the bank across the side street to the north.

Please contact Sandy Olmsted, at wryter...@earthlink.net
for information or to volunteer to read or to have your script read.
