Web Team Meets Tue. 3/14 at 7:30 PM in Room 104
St. Charles Web Team
As a reminder, we're meeting Tuesday, March 14 at 7:30 PM in room 104
of the community center. There's also a Lenten Mass at 6 PM that day
followed by the soup supper in Benedict Hall for those who are
interested.
Our main Web Team agenda item is preparing our submission to the parish
planning process for the coming year, which starts in July (not
January).
In previous years, we've organized our goals in support of (and
response to) the main parish goals. This year, however, the parish is
turning that process around 180 degrees. The St. Charles leadership is
using a more bottom-up approach where they'll review all the individual
ministry goals first, which will then drive and inform the parish's
overall goals.
What that means for us is that we have a little more free reign in
deciding what we want to accomplish in the coming year. Here are a few
areas that might guide our discussion.
1) Supporting the Parish Mission:
"St. Charles Borromeo Parish, in the Diocese of Arlington, is a
community of people with various cultural backgrounds united as a
family of faith empowered by Christ. We call on all to offer their
unique gifts in building the Reign of God's love, as we proclaim the
word of God, celebrate the Sacraments, and promote education,
hospitality, justice and service."

ministries decide to do, but it's what we've used previously)

Updates from our last meeting:
- We've received approval to go forward with a monthly listserv for
parish monthly highlights from the calendar
- The discounted software at techsoup.org does not apply to religious
organizations, so we won't be pursuing that option
- As you can see, our Web Team reminders list is now on Google. You can
