You may have heard that Arlington County would like to make an offer
on a property in the Courthouse area that is expected to be used for
multiple County purposes, with an emphasis on homeless services.
A condominium building next door to the property has raised major
objections that have been the subject of news pieces in several local
media outlets.
The Alliance for Housing Solutions (AHS) is helping one of its
sponsoring organizations, the Arlington Street People’s Assistance
Network (A-SPAN), get the word out about today's County Board hearing,
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13 at 6:30 PM. A-SPAN is asking people to come in
support of the proposal by the County Manager to purchase 2020 N. 14th
Street for public use. One use will be the creation of a Year-Round
Comprehensive Homeless Services Center.
