ALLIANCE FOR HOUSING SOLUTIONS ANNUAL THOMAS LECKEY AFFORDABLE HOUSING
FORUM

The Alliance for Housing Solutions is holding its annual Thomas Leckey
Affordable Housing Forum on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:30
pm at the NRECA Conference Center in Ballston. This year, the Forum
will explore the impacts of affordable housing on education for both
students and local schools. Don’t miss this great opportunity to
become better informed about key issues surrounding affordable housing
and to develop your advocacy skills for justice in this important
area.

2011 Leckey Forum Topic:
Why Affordable Housing is Good for Students and Schools

Program Overview:
A panel of local government and school officials will provide a
summary of the latest research on how affordable housing positively
affects diversity of school systems and student performance. They
will also discuss best practices for integrating housing and education
planning and after school programs. The session will conclude with
views from community leaders on future directions for affordable
housing efforts.

Time and Location:
Friday, October 14, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:30 pm; Reception from 4:30 to
5:00 pm
