Dear colleagues

Greetings

Heavy rain and thunderstorms triggered by Cyclone Remal left at least 39 people dead in North Eastern states  (as of 30th May), including Mizoram, with dozens still missing. Hundreds were forced to take shelter in relief camps as rain destroyed homes and knocked down power lines. Mizoram has been the worst-hit state in the region.

Please find the updated Situation Report-4 on aftermath effect of Cyclone Remal (for N-E states) for more details.

The responding members and local agencies in the affected states are requested to complete updating the information on the URS matrix (5W Matrix) using this link: https://tinyurl.com/URScycloneRemal.  This will bring a common understanding and will deliver a better-coordinated response among the agencies planning to respond/ are already responding in the state.

Also find the latest reports of Damage & Loss, Victims, and other related information being shared by Depatt. of DM & Rehabilitation, Govt. of Mizoram; DRIMS, Govt. of Assam; South 24 Parganas, West Bengal respectively.

Warm Regards
