URS Sheet for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Odisha - Request for Updates from All Responding Agencies

Dear Colleagues,

 

In light of the widespread heavy rainfall and emerging flood-like situations in several states—particularly Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Odisha—multiple humanitarian concerns have been reported including landslides, infrastructure damage, population displacement, and disruption of essential services.

 

To ensure better coordination, transparency, and real-time situational awareness, the Inter Agency Coordination (IAC) Committee has activated the Unified Response Strategy (URS) Matrix. This is a collective tool that allows us to:

• Avoid duplication of efforts on the ground
• Support coordinated response among government and humanitarian actors
• Guide donors and partners in channeling support to the most-needed areas
• Provide consolidated updates to government authorities to assist in decision-making during and after the emergency phase

 

The URS Matrix serves as a live tracker of ongoing activities by various responding agencies and will play a key role in ensuring we reach the most vulnerable populations efficiently and equitably.

We request all organizations to kindly fill in their planned/ongoing activities under the relevant state sheet. Those who have already submitted their details are requested to update any progress or new developments regularly to keep the matrix dynamic and relevant.

 

This collective effort will greatly enhance the quality and impact of our joint humanitarian response.
