Dear Colleagues,

As monsoon rains intensify across India, the risk of water-borne disease outbreaks grows significantly—especially in flood-affected and low-resource areas. Stagnant water, poor drainage, and overcrowded shelters often trigger epidemics such as cholera, typhoid, and hepatitis.

In this context, Sphere India Academy is organizing a webinar on "WASH and Epidemics: Preventing Water-Borne Outbreaks During Monsoon Floods" to explore effective strategies for preparedness, response, and resilience building.

Date: 16th July 2025
Time: 03:00 PM – 04:30 PM (IST)

The session will bring together experts from the public health, WASH, and humanitarian sectors to discuss innovations, community engagement, and inter-agency coordination to prevent large-scale outbreaks during flood emergencies.

We request everyone to join and contribute to this timely discussion.
