Good after noon to all,

How many of you watch National Spelling bee? It was live last week in on ESPN STAR SPORTS. Every year it is conducted in Washington D.C. Final Scripp was aired on 4 June, evening, IST. Anamika Veeramani was the winner for 2010 Spell bee competition. The word bee, as used in spelling bee, is one of those language puzzles that has never been satisfactorily accounted for.

This year quiz one word attracted me more was LASSI an Indian drink asked to an American I think|

The participants are given Definition, parts of speech, Origin, alternate pronunciation, and 9 rounds are covered up to finals.

And If two in finals are tied then same spelling is given to both of them to spell.

Homonyms, Synonyms antonyms are covered. And the pronouncer will have to pronounce all this when asked by the participant.

Fun Fact:-

THAT LONG AGO?

The Scripps National Spelling Bee was first broadcast on network television in 1946.
