JUBA, 28 September 2013 [Gurtong] - Itto said the committee constituted to investigate Pagan Amum has not yet finished its work.
“They have started it [investigation]. But to the best of my knowledge they have not yet finish it,” Itto told press yesterday at the press conference.
Pagan in the previous months was suspended from the party by the party Boss, Salva Kiir due to allegations of mismanaging the party affairs.
Among other accusations include inciting tribal conflicts.
Kiir constituted a committee composing of senior top leaders of the SPLM to investigate Pagan in one month and deliver its report. However, the public is yet to hear the report of the committee headed by the country’s Vice President James Wani Igga.
Following the suspension, President Kiir banned Pagan from travelling outside Juba until the investigations are done. He was also banned from speaking to the media and should respect the SPLM Code of Conduct.
