Introducing Peacewatch: Yemen 

Peace Direct has launched a new strand of its work researching and engaging with local peacebuilders.

A vast amount of research and analysis is produced on conflict issues around the world. But less is written on the efforts of those trying to stop war, even as it rages around them. So our new reports, compiled by our network of Local Peacebuilding Experts, will provide coverage of efforts taking place on the ground, where others cannot reach.

The first in this original series of reports focuses on Yemen.

Building communities for peace in Sudan 
In South Kordofan, Sudan, is increasing economic pressures and  escalating social tensions in the Habila community. But a violent response is not inevitable, as the Badya Centre for Integrated Development, a local peacebuilding organisation from South Kordofan, is well aware.
