Excluding Dr Machar gives uncertainty to dialogue, says Rights officer
CRN

President Salva Kiir’s decision to exclude opposition leader Dr Riek
Machar Teny brings doubt to the national dialogue, A Human Rights and
Rule of Law Officer say.

Omara Michael Anthony wonders how peace can be achieved without
Machar’s participation because national dialogue means talking or
discussing with an enemy.

The Human Rights officer clarifies to CRN on Wednesday that national
dialogue means embracing everybody.

A citizen in Juba calls on the President to reverse his statement of
excluding Dr Machar because dialogue means bringing the parties
together.

He says if Dr Machar is not included it means President Kiir is still
having grievances with the opposition leader.

The citizen says holding a dialogue is forgiving one another and
forgeting the past.

But if he is left out it will not bring peace because there are
followers of Machar in the bush who are still loyal to him and people
who are followers of the President.

He says by not including Machar also means the opposition forces loyal
to Machar are also exclusive and the conflict will continue.
