Women Development Group or WDG registration of internal displaced
people at United Nations Protection of Civilian site POC number
increasing.

Since July towards the beginning of August 2017 due to hunger that
hits the villages around Wau town, says register.

Daniel Mario revealed that POC has received 295 displaced people from
Besselia and Kpile/Bazia counties as a result of hunger, Radio Voice
of Hope reports.

Mario adds that WDG and United Nations High Commission for Refugees
have given some assistance to the IDPs.

The total number being reported to International Organization for
Migration who is responsible for accommodation in the camp, he notes.

Some IDPs expresses that humanitarian situations in the villages is
very bad, they were surviving only on leaves and roots of trees in the
forest.

The IDPs complained of the risk of walking at night due to fear of
ambushes mostly resulted in the killing of innocent civilians and some
even get lost in the forest.

The IDPs appealing to the humanitarian agencies and the government to
go outside the town to evaluate humanitarian situation in the villages
around the town.
