Outbreak of violence in the Philippines: view from the ground

Last week deadly violence broke out on the southern island of Mindanao in the Philippines. We are in regular touch with our local partner. Here is an update from the ground.

This five day interactive training course led by conflict transformation expert Dr. Simon Fisher will examine the links between policy and practice in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.

Somalia has been declared a war zone. Escalating violence and the looming threat of famine could push more people to desperation.

Young people are at risk of turning to violent armed groups, just as a means to get some food or a little money.
