UN peacekeeping chief to visit South Sudan next week

The Under Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Hervé Ladsous is scheduled to visit South Sudan’s capital, Juba on March 20-21 to accompany incoming Under Secretary-General for Peacekeeping operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix.

According to a statement issued by the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on Friday, this will be Ladsous’ last visit to the region before Lacroix takes up position on April 1st 2017.
