Richard:
Thanks. I would have no objection to two Planning Board members. However, the Selectboard will make the decision as to who serves.
Ideally, we would have:
- A member of the Historical Commission (all of whom are also members of the Historical Society)
- A lawyer,
- A Planning Board member,
- A Conservation Commission member,
- A real estate professional or building contractor who belongs to the Chamber of Commerce
- An institutional property owner
- An architectural historian, historian, landscape architect, or public relations professional
If one of those persons were also a “housing” or “open space” advocate, we would have representation from all of the solicited groups! The more the above people live in a potential district, the better!
Can you think of an institutional property owner besides Mount Holyoke College?
What time do you think it will be on your agenda tonight? Maybe I’ll try to attend, just in case a Planning Board member has a question that I can answer.
- Bob

Study Committee
Good Morning Bob,
I will add it to the agenda for tonight's meeting.
I am assuming you only want one Planning Board member, right?
Sincerely,
Richard Harris, AICP
