to South Hadley Historical Commission, Richard Harris

November 29, 2007

Fellow HistComm members:

Please open the attached file, "Request from the Planning Board to the
Historical Commission.pdf."  As you will see, it contains a letter from Joan
Rosner, the Planning Board Chair, asking that "a member of the South Hadley
Historical Commission be appointed as a liaison to the Comprehensive Plan
Advisory Committee."

As you know, at the Planning Board's invitation, I will attend its December
3 meeting to request that a member of the Planning Board serve on the
Historic District Study Committee.  Such a request from the Historical
Commission is only fair if a member of the Historical Commission will also
agree to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee.

Joan's letter provides good information, but as you will see, if you have a
question, you should contact Richard Harris at 413-538-5011.

By December 3, please tell me if you will volunteer to serve.  If I have
received only one volunteer by December 3, I will inform the Planning Board
of that person's name.  If I receive more than one volunteer, we will work
out among us which of the volunteers will serve as the Historical
Commission's representative.
