Logo Ideas

Here are a few of the "decent" ideas I had. Most of the use the logos use either

as inspiration and to give the group some connection with the university, itself. I also chose to use "South Alabama Freethinkers" as the name on the logo. Of course, this is up for change! "University of South Alabama Secular Student Alliance" just doesn't look too good on a logo (in my opinion.)

In every logo after (1) that uses the "South Alabama" logo instead of the boxed USA logo should have the bold, more drawn out font instead of the less-nice looking font I used to speed up the different versions (Due to text placement, other logos incorporated, color of fonts, etc). 

So, here they are. I did 10 so far but I only uploaded 6. My favorite is (2), with the blue "South" and the red "Alabama". I replaced the normal A with Richard Dawkin's out campaign's A. I wish I didn't alternate colors or break the underline beneath SOUTH ALABAMA and above FREE THINKERS, but I did. Oh well.

They are also available in the group's Google Docs collection. So, give me some critique and some comments on the logos. Give me more ideas! Give me ideas about the name, too. I'll draw up some more and spend more time on them as we get it more fleshed out.

Pretty shitty huh? I know Secular Student Alliance at USA is a long name.  That however is how we are affiliated with SSA National.  I like the logo with the SSA logo and South Alabama on each side.  Would that look cool with freethinkers underneath it?  Maybe that is too much info and not enough people know what freethinker even means.   Looking forward to seeing what other people think about your ideas so far.  Way to go!  We are coming along….

Yep. That is pretty shit about the TM logos. However, I think the out campaign's A is totally copyright free. I'd love to add it in to support the Out campaign.

And that's cool! I didn't spend much time on the art side because I figured there would be changes. Free thinkers can go. The one you liked was actually my second favorite. We can definitely work with it!
