The eastern Central Street grade crossing will be reconstructed over the weekend of 16-17 November. Central Street will be closed at the grade crossing at 11:00pm Friday 15 November until 5:00am Monday 18 November. No substitute bus service will be provided.
The Martin Street grade crossing will be reconstructed over the weekend of 23-24 November. Martin Street will be closed starting 11:00pm Friday 22 November until 5:00am Monday 25 November. Substitute bus service will be provided between Acton and Littleton stations. The town is allowing residents to park at the train station during the construction to avoid detours out of the Maple Street / Stow Street area.
Work will continue around the clock on both weekends to add second track and replace the signals. Message boards announcing the shutdowns announce details of the detour.
