Position Summary: Responsible for supporting the strategic and operational HR needs of designated departments/programs including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations/engagement, employee training, and HR technology.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists in the delivery of all HR initiatives including, retention, recognition, onboarding and off boarding
Interact with employees to respond to questions/concerns regarding HR policies and programs
Support/coach managers in effectively managing employee performance
Direct recruitment efforts for approved vacancies
Conduct applicant screening, interview and referrals for approved vacancies
Ensure compliance with on-boarding processes
Assist in the development and implementation of performance management initiatives
Identify and align competencies with HR processes
Assist in the delivery of staff development
Track employee professional development
Assist HR Director in ensuring HR compliance with Federal, State, local regulatory agencies and Funder requirements; conduct internal audits and support preparation for external audits as required
Ensures electronic and manual personnel files and related documents are properly maintained

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Training
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in the delivery of HR programs
Experience in the use of HRIS for effective HR processes
Experience working in nonprofit sector preferred
SHRM/HRCI certification preferred
Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated analytical ability and ability to look broadly at business practices to identify critical HR/talent implications
Knowledge of competency based HR processes
Knowledge of employment law
Knowledge of total rewards programs
Strong commitment to excellence and client service orientation
Ability to work effectively alone as well as with a team
Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (outlook, word, excel, power point)
Ability to work in Sharepoint and Visio
