Speed testing software

Hello. New to this group and looking for suggestions on software to
test how fast a website loads.

I need something downloadable as the sites are internal QA sites I am
looking to test.

I also am not concerned about automation. Maybe down the road. But,
I would like to be able to export the results to a spreadsheet so I
can compare against public sites that have similar content.

Lastly, open source is preferred since I am working for a smaller
company with limited resources.

Basically, my wish list:

1. How fast does it load
2. Export results
3. load testing
4. Ease of use
5. Automation possible
6. Open Source

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Apache JMeter
http://jmeter.apache.org/

It's a steep learning curve, but it's free while LoadRunner isn't. Most people who use the latter tool likely aren't using any more of its functionality than is offered in JMeter.

A similar tool for individual pages as opposed to sites is YSlow http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/
