We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multidimensional modeling, star schema design, and data management. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling techniques and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain multidimensional data models using the Kimball approach.
• Design large star schemas with atomic transaction fact tables.
• Perform 3rd normal formal modeling.
• Write clear and concise definitions for data elements.
• Formulate detailed data mappings.
• Abstract complex data concepts and communicate them effectively.
• Manage and utilize MDM, metadata, and reference data.
• Use ERStudio or ERWin for data modeling tasks.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Expertise in multidimensional modeling (Kimball approach).
• Experience in designing large star schemas with atomic transaction fact tables.
• Proficiency in 3rd normal formal modeling.
• Strong skills in writing definitions and formulating detailed mappings.
• Ability to abstract complex data concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to convey approaches and concepts clearly.
• Experience with MDM, metadata, and reference data.
• Proficiency in ERStudio or ERWin.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
• Experience in modeling abstract, agnostic concepts.
• Proficiency in UML class modeling.
• Experience with Databricks.
