Travelites' Winter Holiday party report & upcoming

Travelites' annual Winter Holiday party was again fantastic - between
the great folk and superb food, it could only have been better if the
temperatures rose into the high 60s. Members drove from Greensboro, NC
and Georgia as well as from communities around Columbia. Everyone was
given a cute little plush holiday animal as a souvenir.

Attendees feasted on oyster stew, lasagna, meatballs and spaghetti,
garlic rolls, salad, pasta & vegetables in a cheese sauce, steamed
clams plus a whole lot more. Our members are truly excellent chefs.

The grab bag was a lot of fun with practical gifts as well as the
unexpected such as smoked salmon and other delights. It was difficult
to say goodnight, but there are other events to look forward to
including on December 18th in Ridgeway, SC, the last scheduled event
of the year starting at about 4pm with a potluck supper @ 6:30.
Please let us know what you'll be bringing when you RSVP.

There will be a New Years get together. We will meet at our place in
Hopkins, SC @ 6pm and then carpool to the restaurant where we dined on
Founder's Day or you can meet us there @ 7:30. We will return to our
place after dinner to bring in the New Year with either something
sparking non-alcoholic or champagne. Bring a pillow if you would like
to spend the night. Omelets will be served for breakfast.
