Annual Filmmaker Bootcamp for teens!
Do you know a 14-18 year old that wants to learn how to be a
filmmaker? Have them apply for the Filmmakers Bootcamp, where they'll
have the opportunity to make their own short film.
The two week workshop runs July 14-26, 2008 and is currently accepting
applications for the program. Filmmakers Bootcamp will teach teens the
art of filmmaking from screen writing, editing, and filming and will
culminate in each participant creating his or her own short film. The
Bootcamp will be taught by local filmmakers Gina Cunningham, Rhonda
Mitrani and Harriett Yarr. The cost is $250.00 for the four week
session, and full scholarships are available. Lunches and snacks will
be provided for each camper and transportation vouchers will be
available based on need.

SEND A KID TO CAMP!
For $500 you could send a kid to a Miami Light Project summer arts camp!!
Miami is a hot place for a kid to hang out all summer with nothing to
do. This year we are offering two cool alternatives: A four week Hip
Hop camp and a two week Filmmakers Boot Camp. Both of these camps
will offer instruction from local professional artists and give kids
an opportunity to learn new skills, develop a creative outlet and
engage in a dialogue with likeminded young people.
So, do something really cool with your tax stimulus check: send a kid to camp!
