Galaxy S4: huge black mirror screen on desktop

need help on my mirrored screen. it's extra large screen is all black. my phone screen moves when i move/click my mouse around the black area, but no view at all. please help, as i am a handicap & can only/ has used my phone w/ the help of this app on my S2 that broke.
if there is any other app out there that'll work with my Galaxy S4, i'd really appreciate your advise.
