30.000 NIS or 3 Years of Prison for Ibrahim - we start a campaign to save him

Merry Christmas to you all! And today is Ibrahim’s birthday – he is 73!
Our dear friend Haj Ibrahim Abu el Hawa is facing 3 years of prison starting next month, if he can not pay the fine of 30.000 NIS until the end of the month (December 29th). This was the decision of the Administrative court of Justice in Jerusalem. This process lasted many years and has cost Ibrahim his health. Ibrahim can not pay this amount of money. He is a pensioner and needs a house for living. Unfortunately, Israeli authorities do not permit Palestinian residents of Jerusalem to build houses. It is not possible to obtain the permission. Therefore the residence of Jerusalem are forced to build their houses “illegally” to survive and make space for their children and grandchildren. All these is very sad. Especially, because Ibrahim is a dear friend to many of us and many of us experienced his guest friendship in his Peace House.
We, friends of Ibrahim, are compelled to help him in the most difficult moment of his life. He is rely not in a good health condition.
We want Ibrahim to live. We want him to continue his work.
Additionally to that he is still obliged to pay 4.800 NIS fine every month. He is struggling, but trying to do his best.
