After a fairly long hiatus, I expect to finally release v9.3 in the
coming months. Did anyone notice the screenshots on the website have
been showing v9.3 for the last few years, even though v9.2 was the
last released version?

Stay tuned.

I have not fired it up in so long. Thanks for the update.

Any chance you can make Kfest this year?

Some of the new features in v9.3 will include a new spell, tentatively
named spectral or enchant (other suggestions welcome!), that will
allow mundane or lesser enchanted weapons to hit weapon immune
monsters (i.e. entities requiring +1 or higher weapons to damage).
It's effects will be cumulative if cast by multiple characters, but
limited in duration. This new spell will replace dpockets - hopefully
nobody will miss it.

The castle market main menu will be revamped to be easier to select
shops and services.

In addition, in camp, you will have the option to automatically cast
heal hit point spells until an individual or the entire party is
healed.

Stay tuned.

A few more v9.3 changes:

You will now be able to multicast any spell in camp up to 6 times. Or,
automatically cast heal hit point spells until one character or the
entire party is fully healed.

To make encumbrance a little more interesting, you will now be limited
to 1500 coins per person, regardless of how much weight your character
can carry. This will at last prevent high-strength characters from
hoarding every last copper piece they come across. The actual
encumbrance penalty is determined by whichever penalty is higher -
exceeding the characters weight limit as before or exceeding the new
1500 coin limit. You can use the new camp command B)urden to help with
this. Of course you can still turn the encumbrance rules off in the
preferences.

As compensation for the 1500 coin limit, platinum pieces (pp) are now
available! Exchange: 1pp = 10gp.

The 1500 coin limit is only relevent when determining the enc penalty
while in the maze. You can carry as many coins as you like if you can
live with the penalty. For example, carrying 3000 coins gives a
penalty of 200% or 2X, which affects movement (game time), and
resource usage (light, etc), and the chance to be surprised by
monsters.

Sounds great!!! I need to fire up the game I am in the middle of and
continue it with the new rules, as soon as it is released.

Jamie.
