This is the final reminder of the Rallies this Sunday taking place across the country. Consult
www.dayfrodarfur.org for details in your area.Click the appropriate flag on the left. Also read the Canadian Unity Statement attached. You will find it at each of the Canadian Venues with organizations endorsing it.. You will see it is a diverse list of faith-based, humanitarian, and human rights groups.
These rallies promise to be educational, entertaining, emotional and historic. Never have so many rallies been organized around the globe to implore our leaders to stop a current genocide,
Particularly as Darfur is about to take a turn for the worse. Many of you ask: what can I do to help?
I think , now more than any time, it is vitally important for you to be there! It is incumbent for you to bring as many of your family, friends, co-workers, neighbours, and so on to these Rallies! The success of the
Rally depends not on the resonance of Senator Dallaire's words or the riveting rhythm of Bedouin Soundclash
but that you will be there. Only with large numbers at our Rallies will the Canadian Government realize that we expect Canada to lead and the international community to act as thousands of African lives hang in the balance.
A couple of hours or less of your time on a Sunday afternoon can make a difference! Thanks for making that difference!

Global Day for Darfur Rally and Concert in Toronto Protect Darfur Now: Time is Running Out For three years the people of Darfur have been ignored by the global community. In view of demonstrating global support for the victims of the crisis, groups around the globe have designated September 17th as the Global Day for Darfur (www.dayfordarfur.org). At 2pm in Ramsden Park , Torontonians will join thousands all over the world - from Abuja to Hong Kong, from Brussels to Melbourne - to collectively bring an end to the current atrocities. Despite the signing of a Darfur peace agreement on May 5th 2006, the violence in western Sudan has not stopped; in fact, in some parts of Darfur, the violence has grown worse. People are still being killed and raped and displaced - every single day. Join us at
2pm on Sunday the 17th in a blue hat
as we - both the young and the old - come together to pressure our government to take action. Where?:
