Hope everyone is good! Sikh Society has a fun few weeks ahead for us, Sikhi Week kicks off on Monday 15th February (This Monday). Firstly we would like to ask if anyone wishes to help during Sikhi Week, please contact the DMU Sikh Society
This is how the week looks:
Monday - We have a guest talker coming to talk about our Inspiring Religion, the guest talker comes after high demand! As usual free food will be available and HOODIES will finally be ready, priced at £20 with the new logo on the back, good quality hoodies.
Tuesday - Seva at the Gurdwara to help with preparation for Langar on Campus on Wednesday in collaboration with Leicester Uni Sikh Society. The Seva will be at Guru Panth Prakash Gurdwara, Ashford Road; we will be meeting outside SU at 4pm for all those who wish to go to do Seva.
Wednesday - Langar on Campus at Leicester Uni, please come and help around. Timings for Langar are 10.30am – 4pm in the Queens Hall ‘you shall find peace, doing Seva (selfless service)’ Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Thursday – From 11am till 4pm - We have booked the outside of SU for two days for FREE Kirtan CD’s, FREE Literature and a lot more! Also we have BOSS (British Organisation of Sikh Students) coming down for the day for any other Sikhi related artefacts! ALSO a cake sale for Haiti will take place with Samoseh and drinks available all day!
Friday – From 11am till 4pm, is the same format of Thursday, BUT hopefully with a Sikhi related performance... I’ll let you guys guess what it might be! Also G5 Sikh Media will be down for the day to sell more Sikhi related stuff. There will also be Samoseh and drinks available all day!
So, invite all your friends and come learn about our beautiful religion.
Also hoodies can be bought at any time after Mondays event or during the whole week! Hoodies are priced at £20 which is a reasonable price, and all sizes are available!
