Subject: SiV RMI Startup Teams - next steps
Dear fellow players,
First of all, thank you again for your brilliance, wisdom and commitment that you showed so powerfully at the last SiV RMI gathering. The infinite game of Regional Metamorphosis in Silicon Valley has begun and we are beyond excited to be on this action-learning adventure with you all!
In order to support the startup of our four ‘teams’, I propose that Bill and I host an initial session with each team. The purpose of these sessions would be for the two of us to provide you with a ‘download’ of our thinking on the task area you’ve initially chosen to support. Your task at this conference call session would be to inquire into our thinking/vision and also to share and test your emerging ideas with us.
Below are the teams we created at our 6.7 meeting at the SVII headquarters, the players that signed up and some of the questions that each team might address:
Traction Team: Birgitte Rasine (R)
- How best to support the development and ‘managing’ of our near term activities?
- How best to bootstrap ourselves into a ‘generative action-learning organism’ that attracts, engages and supports the development of the talent needed at this embryonic stage of our journey?
- How to unfold our initial activities in a way that is effective in growing our capacity for both learning and acting?
Scouting Team: Cynthia Holladay (R), Lucy Freedman (S), Michael Ruescher (S)
- Which SiV individuals/entities do we believe could become our most important generative allies at this bootstrapping stage?
- How might we best engage them?
Meme Team: Jim Caldwell (R), Michael Ray (S), Cynthia Holladay (C) Peggy (C)
How might we evolve our emerging story in a way that best —
- Becomes increasingly clear, coherent, concise and compelling?
- Speaks to the various potential SiV GRIPs we want to attract and engage?
- Invites these GRIPs to evolve the story in a way that includes and challenges each of them?
- Supports it becoming viral, contagious and self-evolving?

Given the following criteria, what is a path forward that best fits these criteria?
- By 2020 we’ve crossed a tipping point in terms of SiV’s social systems becoming conscious, caring, committed and capable of evolving their contribution to the well-being of all life they impact.
- SiV has evolved its capacity to support the transformation of any all (See http://www.theinfinitegames.org/e05/06.php) of its social systems.
- SiV becomes the hub for building generative systemic B/C-work capacity for regions throughout our planet.
- How we go about growing this systemic action-learning capacity demonstrates the potential of our social systems to move into the Age of Conscious Evolution — to go beyond sustainability.
These will be foundational learning sessions to provide a shared conceptual platform for shaping our regional action-learning journey to a “Blue Star Future.”
Though these tele-sessions will be between Bill and I and the team leaders/members, we will invite all interested to sit in on the dialogue. You are also invited to invite any others you think might want to become involved in this history-shaping expedition.
Below are some possible times Bill and I can be available for these sessions. Each session is about 1.5hrs. May I ask the team leads (Rs) to contact me with a time that works for your teams? (We would love your reply by Wed, 6/15 please.)
