Has anyone modified the MDF index export to create an index of scientific names? That is, to use the /sc field as the main sorting field or head field instead of /re or /ge in a reversal index?

Any tips or sample .cct files that I could copy or look at?

Cheers,

Jay

Hi Jason,

One way to do this would be to create a new file in which you only have the fields you want in the reversal dictionary (presumably \lx and \sc), and change the \sc to \re to allow the mdf export to work as normal.

Thanks for this workaround.
