This exhibition presents over 40 projects, including experimental linear video; networked media; video and audio installation;
non-narrative and narrative 3D animation; and interactive installation and performance. Using current technologies to explore their inner selves,
the outer world, the artists also examine how their relationship to one another and their environment is mediated through technology.
Often combining media and technologies, these artists employ a range of materials and programming languages to question social interactions
 and communications in a media-saturated world.

InInternetWeTrust, is an interactive audio-visual installation, where the user explores a 3D Virtual environment. Aesthetically,
the piece references the immersive nature of virtual spaces, the domestication of media production and consumption, and the unfulfilling realization of our SC-FI utopias.
Physically, the installation places the participant at an alter- like structure in front of a television screen, requiring the user to kneel or sit.
The digital spaces reflect some of the latest changes occurring in culture, transforming many societies into cyber-societies through the process of virtualization.

The Visual Arts Gallery, located at 601 West 26th Street between 11th and 12th Avenues, 15th floor,
is open Monday through Thursday, 10am to 6pm; Friday, 10am to 5pm; Saturday, 10am – 6pm and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Admission is free. The gallery is accessible by wheelchair. For further information call 212.592.2145.
