I will try to scan the certificates to send you, but the two death certificates I ordered arrived today. Finally, something was right on.

Bridget Simon, age 2, died of measles/pneumonia on 31 May 1852. Occupation is listed as daughter of Thomas Simon labourer, and Bridget simon was present at her death. She was at 31 Back Acton Street when she died, which was the census address a year earlier.

Thomas Simon, age 19, died of “congestion of Brain” (no medical attendant certified that) on 20 June 1855. His occupation is “scavenger in a mill” and Bridget Simon was present at the death. He also was at 31 Back Acton Street when he died.

Patrick would have left the family about two years later for America. All was riding on him, since he was then the oldest remaining child.
