Meeting summary for Sept 2007 SEG
Twinsen
she's doing trading between and Asia, and she had some brilliant
biz opportunities to explore. Another Highlight of this month is
we are going to have a Chinese name for SEG, it's called 易龙,
meaning "ever evolving dragon".Next time you came to our meeting
you can see it on our table.
Back on Goal setting and tracking
Elson: The product category is closer to completion.They hired
a designer for it's design and future updating work.Some suggestions
from us are (1.ever think of outsourcing some design job? 2.Product
category need to be updated very often so it's better to maintain a
nice website instead of printing only);Another achievement Elson's
team
made was a successful Deal which helped them streamline the whole
supplier
to customer process. Some suggestions from us (Try to write down all
the process
involved in order to 1.train new team member 2.find improvement
opportunity)
Next month, Elson plan to complete the product category and Develop
more customizable
products.
Paul: Paul spent a month's time writing a drama script for his friend
instead
of his own book.Another achievement is that he finished a technical
solution proposal
to Shanghai Mobile Telecoms and it's the beginning of Paul's new
business plan.Some of
team's suggestions(1.Prioritize, since no one is superman 2. more
communication to his
coach (me) so we can change the plan if necessary) Next month Paul
plan to 1.Adjust his
book writing plan realistically 2.Stream line his new business plan
Anh Thu:Anh Thu has the Business plan to open a Gym system which focus
on exercise healthily
with help of qualified coach and equipment. She's done market research
till this month.Also
she has a prototype of innovative furniture she wants to introduce to
the market.So Her plan
for next month is to 1.Calculate the initial investment for the gym
based on current business
model 2. Write down the advertisement video script to produce a video
to promote the furniture
on youtube
Twinsen: He met half of his sales goal in September, part of the
reason is time spent too much
on coaching instead of business development.On Paul's book project, he
did not follow up with
paul close enough to see there's been a change in the plan. Next
month, Twinsen will focus 80%
of his time on BD; Also will help Paul finalize his two plans
Also we realize our member base has been shrinking this year, so next
month Elson, Paul and me
will at least bring one Entrepreneurial friend to the group meeting.
