Can anyone tell me about the "linear descendents" of Shakespear who
resided in Bidford around 1760-62? We have a book, The Universal
Museum; dated 1762, Volume I, that discusses a gentleman who paid a
visit to a vicar in the area and made a point of seeing these
descendents as well as paying homage to the "Shakespear" tree where he
slept one night after indulging in too much "good claret".

The book refers to him as Shakespear not Shakespeare in this section of

the book, but as Shakespeare when reviewing the plays that were put on
during that time.

Cross posting to several groups since I am not sure which one is the
best to post it to.
