Greetings,

We are very excited to have our email list up and running so that we can more effectively communicate with you. You can easily subscribe or tell your friends about joining this email list thru the instructions at the bottom.

Here are a few updates we wanted to encourage you to check out:

Illuminate 2008 Starts July 19

1.)  Grand Kick-Off Event (outdoor carnival w/ T.V. crews, etc.!)
  Where: 1^st Street, right in front of Hollenbeck Youth Center (2015 E. 1^st St., LA 90033) http://maps.google.com
  When: Saturday, July 19 - 9am – 1pm (set-up 7am)

  ** Need volunteers to help set up, register kids, interact with 300-500 projected kids & families. 

2.)  Illuminate Camp
  Where: 1^st Street, right in front of Hollenbeck Youth Center (2015 E. 1^st St., LA 90033) http://maps.google.com
  When: Mondays – Fridays, July 21 – Aug. 1 - 4-6:30pm (3pm for set-up, 6:30-7:30pm daily debrief w/ dinner provided)

  ** Need volunteers to help provide & serve dinner for 50 volunteers for 1 night. 
  **Also still need instructors for drama and film, especially.
 
3.)  Kids' Final Performance

  When: Saturday, August 2 - 5 - 7pm (set-up 3pm)

Union Station Foundation Adult Center - August 5

Cooking a meal together, serving and eating with the homeless population
**No age limit**
Where: Adult center 412 S. Raymond Ave, Pasadena http://maps.google.com
When: Tuesday, August 5, Arrive at 7pm, Serve the meal at 8pm, Done by 9:30
