Open House - Abington Council on Aging

The Senior Computer Learning Center of Mass. Inc. (open to students
age 50 or older) at the Abington COA, 441 Summer St. has scheduled an
“Open House” on Wednesday, September 5th, from 10:00 to 12:00. SCLC
staff will be on hand to assist with the evaluation, selection and
registration for computer courses.

Instructors will be on hand to describe courses, workshops and
prerequisites.

Prior to starting the fall schedule we will be offering a FREE
workshop, Basics for Beginners. This workshop is designed to
familiarize absolute beginners with mouse operations, keyboard
functions, the desktop, and other getting- started skills.


Several eight session Introduction to Computers courses will be
offered along with advanced courses and workshops such as MS Office 7
– Word and Excel, All About Windows 7, Exploring the Ipad , How to Buy
and Sell on Ebay and Amazon, Intro to Genealogy, Keep Your PC Up-To-
Date, Digital Camera, Picasa, Copying and Adding files, Email using
Gmail and advanced Word workshops.

Our lab is set up with 10 modern PCs with the Windows 7 operating
system and the appropriate application software. Instructors and
staff are all PC experienced volunteers.

registration form, and enclose it with a check made out to SCLC.
