a question about a certain font

hello sigal!
after looking at the instructions in this site, I still can't find the
right way to write in the CHILDES program the font for "dg" (as in
gungle).
at the moment I am representing it as "gh".

Hi Maytal,
If you are using a broad phonemic transcription method, then I would suggest you use the "dj" convention (assuming, of course, that you are transcribing a language that does not allow the actual "dj" consonant cluster). This is not so different from the IPA symbol for this consonant and it is still quite transparent (if I understood you correctly, you are asking about the voiced palato-alveolar affricate dʒ). By the way, you can also use a %pho line and transcribe IPA in CED, check out this link to see how:

Mayal hi,

I think you should adopt Bracha's proposal and use the cluster /dj/ for
words like English "jungle". I also recommend that you insert a comment in
the headers section noting this convention.
