Subject: Big corps generate own power, PV getting cheap as gridWalmart, Safeway, Others Unplugging From Unreliable Power Grid
http://www.offthegridnews.com/2013/11/07/walmart-safeway-others-unplugging-from-unreliable-power-grid/Article does not address storage costs for PV electricity.
May only get cheaper if grid used for that. Electric
companies shouldn't complain too much where peak usage
is air conditioning on sunny days. Do those new "smart
meters" run backwards when power is fed into grid? Do
I need to get PVs and an inverter for them to find out?
(Unlike the older, analogue meters, can't see instant usage
rate. Must run long enough for count of kW-h to change.
Perhaps some radio technique allows querying rate.)
