Okay a bunch of things:

1.) The idea has been presented to do our first show in Novemberish about
spousal homicide. Basically a series of one acts written separately all on
this theme and some how we work them all together into one cohesive piece.
Just talked with Felisa about postponing this. Creating our own show is a
really big challenge. Should we wait and make Rusty's Shakespeare our first
piece and then do the spousal homicide one after? We can still do little
publicity stunt types of pieces here and there. We can train. We can write.
We can start into the administrative and marketing end of things, but hold
off on production til Xmas. What do you think about any and all of this?

2.) The findraising letter. We have a rough draft that is itching for bios.
PLEASE SEND BIOS IN AS WELL AS A PHOTO OF YOURSELF.

3.) Logo. We need a logo for the fundrasing letter. Gannon, can you talk to
Jeff about this. If Jeff can't do it right away couldn't we get Maggie to
design one for us. I see no harm in having more than one logo at our
disposal.

4.) I would really like to have a chat/phone session with everyone. When can
we do this?

4.5.) Gannon and I have been toying with the idea of educational outreach.
Basically some sort of once a week drama club with the goal of a low budget
production put together by the children. We can talk to public
schools--preferably the more needy ones--and find one that lacks a drama
program. This could happen now, or possibly after Christmas. Ideas for this?
Anyone else interested in teaching?

5.) Priorities at the moment: Figure out the non-profit/umbrella situation,
reserve space, fundraising drive, mission statement revision (I think we
need to tweak it a little based on some research I've done), educational
outreach research.

6.) I think a tentative lineup for this season (subject to change of order
and content) is: spousal homicide one acts, shakespeare--proabably 12th
night-- at christmas, Grimm brothe's piece, and possible TBA 4th piece.
Feedback on this?

7.) Have talked with a few people about inviting Santino Jimenez (did I
spell that right?) to come up with us. Doubt he'll say yes, but would be
wonderful if he did, considering his tech background (we need a scenic
person), his acting skills, and his attitude. What do y'all think?

As always feedback and criticism welcome concerning any and all of the above
points.

I know everyone is busy but please atleast send in your bios. We need to get
rolling. Love to all! Can't wait to see you! Stay sane!

1. I seriously doubt we will be able to mount the spousal homicide
piece if a0 no one has written anything and b0 no one is here to do
it. I'm fine with waiting.
2. yes, bios.
3. Jeff is working on the logo. I'll follow up with him, see how its
coming.
4. chat session very important. Either friday or saturday I'll have
the night off after 9:30 this week. I'll know which one today.
Otherwise I'm in rehearsal at night and working during the day. What
about everyone else?
5.We can investigate now into the after school thing, but I think it
can rest on the back burner for now. Lets focus on our identity/
creative work.
6. so far sounds fine.
7. We def. need a scenic person.
8. Can everyone do their best to respond to this?

1. I am fine with holding off for the spousal
homicide piece. I am considering trying to do a
performance art piece dealing with the subject becasue
I'm more comfortable writing something of that
persuasion than a full on 1 act. Is this alright with
everyone?

2. I will be working on my bio when I come back from
Killeen next Tuesday. Until then I'm kinda swamped
getting ready to leave.

3. Should we brainstorm together on wht we would
like, conceptually, our logo to look like before
someone starts working on it?

4. I won't be available for a chat session tis
weekend, I'll be out of town and away from my
computer. And probably pretty tired. ;-)

5. After school thing would be awesome. I'm so into
that idea. I even spoke to CDP having no plans once
she is done getting her masters in education (I
believe in primary education), her BA is in theatre,
she may be someone that could definitely help us in
that department when she gets out. She has another
year, I think. Just thought I would throw it out
there. What do you guys think?

6. the season ine up sounds great and definitely
achievable.

7. I, very informally, spoke to Santino on the phone
last night and he said he would consider it. He sas
that when he gets back from Creede tour that he may
have a few projects lined up for him. I told him that
if he would like to consider us, we would like to
consider him. I told him that it wasn't discussed
among ALL of us, so don't worry. I haven't made any
promises without a consensus among us.

8. Done and done.

Felisa

1. Yeah... november... I'm going to have 12 hour days at my job so with
OT and blah blah blah.
So I'm going to be a good little capitalist and keep working for a bit
longer.

2. I reviewed the thread about the letters and realized I know noone
who has money or any cause that might help with so while I would love
to go in on this and give my bio and pic and all that I fear that it'll
be something lame like Sal Ponce tech, half assed designer and failed
writer. And that's the high lights. I should see other people's and
mooch the good stuff before that ends up being mine.

3.Non Sequitor: I have a friend who can make patches so when we have a
logo I can have him make some patches. Atleast for me... cause I have a
jacket of patches... makes me look homeless.... that's about it on
three.

4A.Chat session and such like... I have 5 am calls this week until
sunday so I'm basically out of it by 7 pm. And pretty much every other
week until October and the last week of september is basically hell for
me... and october... I go from 5 am calls to 5pm calls...Yeah my sleep
cycle is basically fucked at that point. But still I'll let everyone
know when I'm availible. On another note what chat software are we
planning on using? Aim, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ?

4B. Ok it's not that I dislike children but my cursing and general
attitude of treating children like adults could lead to some hairy
situations so it might be best for me to help with a educational
outreach in a diminished capacity and then go more into it. But hey
that's just me.

5. All very good. Can't think of anything else. Besides my own thoughts
for my move and wondering what kind of space we'll end up with.

6. So I first read the Grimm thing as a Grimm Brothel piece. Just an
odd thought.

7. I don't have any comment on this one. Been a while since I spoke to
Santino I think the last time we spoke I was sorting out the mess of a
tool box and listening to mid ninties rock. Didn't seem to interested
in it at that time and we joked about starting a theater company. Man
that was like a year ago.

8. So does this mean I'm not going to be haunted and killed by chi? I
have no excuse why I didn't respond until now besides watching a bunch
of bad movies and being absolutely pissed off at members of my crew and
my stage manager for the show I was on... damn I'm glad it is over.

Despite rumors to the contray Deadbeat was a good movie,
Sal

Sooo...
*Yes, Felisa I think we should talk conceptually about the logo. Gannon had
ideas about a few different things. An hour glass, a clock, ummm something
to do with headlights or a road. Am I forgetting anything, Gannon? What does
everyone else think? I like the clcok idea. It's simple and elegant. What
about a clock at 2 o'clock? Ideas? Suggestions?
*Sal, I know you have a better bio than that. Send it in and you will
officially be pardoned from death by chi. We can rewrite it. Just send in
your most impressive credits.
*We're thinking about NOT using headshots for photos to be sent in with
bios. Instead we should use something less formal??? Something that shows
your face in a headshotty kinda way, but is more FUN--yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
*I think as far as spousal homicide pieces go, persoanally I'm cool with
anything anyone wants to write. I think at this point we should welcome any
and all submissions. So anything you want to write about in any style as
long as it's about spousal homicide. Write as many pieces as you want.
Different time periods, different sexualities, different theatrical genres
(although I was kinda thinking this would be a dark comedy, but that was
just me), whatever. Then we can sort through them and cut and paste and see
waht works and what doesn't. So write away everyone, but I think we need to
all be ready to put away our egos when we get down to making this into a
piece. We don't know what's going to work and what's not, so pieces may have
to be changed or omitted. I know we all already know that, but I just wanted
to put that out there. I've talked to a few of you about this already but as
far of creation of the piece the idea has been put out there to have each
vignette directed by someone separate and then have a coordinating director
whose job is to make all the pieces come together as one. We can talk more
about this, and other ideas when everyone gets here. We can always make that
part of it more collaborative, so we have mass brainstorms and such. I know
everyone has alot of ideas about this piece. Want to get them all out there
so we can weed out the best ones!
*Sorry for babbling. I'm at work with NOTHING to do. Bored bored bored. And
feeling useless.
*patches sound good, sal.
*Brenda. I know you're totally busy. That sounds like hell. Just send the
bio when you can.

morgan

So is that okay?  Should it have more flare?

Oh what about headlights with like the beams as two clocks.  I have had some Sangria and so this may sound lame sober.

Can I just send you a lot of headshotty photos that I've taken and you can decide which one would be appropriate.

XOXO,
Brenda

So I work a bio thing... Not the greatest but after totally shifting my
sleep schedule and being out in the sun during an unusually warm
September it's ok. Oh I'm I'm totally open to suggestions.

Sal - Ever notice video stores are starting to sell the really odd
movies on VHS? Believe me I have.

Bio
Sal Ponce doesn't so much have credits but places he's worked.
After receiving a BA from NMSU in the winter of Ought 3 he bummed
around Southern California before getting a job as a stage tech at a
major theme park, no, not that theme park. He's worked for a few hole
in the wall theaters and a couple of bigger venues too. After 3 years
he worked himself into an ASM position ad is looking for some kind of
change.
